Fidanzio, Marcello 2022 The identification of Qumran Cave 6Q, has long remained uncertain because of the scarcity of archaeological documentation. This article re-examines the available archival and published sources together with the results of a 2019 field survey. A comparison between the historical descriptions and the present morphology of the site suggests that the cave traditionally identified as 6Q should be reconsidered in favour of a nearby cavity that better fits the archaeological evidence.
