<dc:description xmlns:ns0="xml" ns0:lang="en">After an essential, introductory examination of the phenomenon of microfinance (and microcredit in particular) it is necessary to approach the latent challenges concerning possible evolution and new prospects. These clearly need to be based on an advanced socio-economic system with the function of surpassing the current models (which are capitalist and neoliberalist) as well as on a renewed explanation of the statements of law on human rights. It is through the application of theoretical concepts of quantum macroeconomics and the consequent innovative, scientific emanations in terms of money, output and income, that it is logically proven how the financing of any production activity comes from the production itself. The credit that (micro)firms benefit from has its origins in the firm’s own production, not with the banks. The risks associated with the activities of financial intermediaries are not related to the initial level of poverty of the potential entrepreneur, as is, conversely, the conventional and erroneous assumption and custom. Concern about the manifestation of insolvency would be strongly reduced by implementing the necessary reorganization of the national accounting systems and adapting the public infrastructures (and the organizations with formally appointed authority) so that they would coherently support what is internationally established and accepted – and specified in the constitution – as regard the protection of the lives and dignity of people. The main point is elaborated on the Italian national level, where specific and contextual analyses are considered in terms of current results, characteristically Italian models and the arising failures. The orientation is towards a progressive interpretation of the microcredit system, encouraging specific national identity and redistribution in a real and socially-attuned application.</dc:description>
